At UC Site Services, we're passionate about giving back to our community and protecting the environment. That's why we were thrilled to partner with our long-standing client, Assa Abloy, at Brunel Close, Drayton Fields, Daventry, for a special Earth Day initiative!
A Day Dedicated to Sustainability and Well-being
Earth Day is celebrated every year on April 22nd, a global event dedicated to raising awareness about environmental protection. It's a day to reflect on the importance of our planet and take action to ensure a healthy and sustainable future for generations to come.
Assa Abloy wanted to demonstrate their commitment to a greener future and the well-being of their staff. UC Site Services was proud to be a part of their vision!
Together, our teams planted a variety of beautiful bulbs, including bluebells and daffodils, in the garden area just outside their offices. These colourful additions will not only enhance the aesthetics of the space but also provide a vital food source for pollinators like bees and butterflies.
Creating a Haven for Wildlife
We didn't stop there! To further benefit the local ecosystem, we installed bird boxes and insect hotels within the garden. These structures will provide safe havens for a variety of birds and insects, promoting biodiversity within the grounds.
Cleaning Up the Community
But the Earth Day efforts extended beyond the property! Assa Abloy also organised a community litter pick around the green spaces of the Drayton Fields estate. With a team of eight dedicated UC Site Services and Assa Abloy staff members, we collected an impressive 30 bags of litter!
To support this fantastic community initiative, UC Site Services proudly donated the litter pickers used during the event.
